PSO Sponsors Pancake Breakfast with Salvation Army

Public Service Company of Oklahoma joins with The Salvation Army to host a pancake breakfast in Tulsa Saturday, July 10 to increase awareness and raise funds for The Salvation Army’s home energy assistance program.

Utilities across the state are sponsoring Home Energy Aid Week, which runs  July 19 – 25.  The Tulsa pancake breakfast is one of many energy awareness activities sponsored by PSO, the Salvation Army, Oklahoma Natural Gas and Oklahoma Gas and Electric and the Oklahoma Masons.

PSO’s energy assistance program is called Light A Life.  It is one of several energy aid programs statewide that collects contributions from utility customers to enable The Salvation Army to help needy Oklahomans with their energy bills.

Included in Home Energy Aid Week is the all-you-can eat breakfast of pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee Saturday, July 10, at the Tulsa Scottish Rite, 6355 E. Skelly Drive.  The breakfast is from 7 a.m. to noon and it is open to the public. Tickets are $5 per person and may be purchased in advance at The Salvation Army, 102 N. Denver or at Oklahoma Natural Gas’ North Point Office, 205 E. Pine Street.  Tickets will also be available at the door. PSO is an electric utility company serving more than 500,000 customers in eastern and southwestern Oklahoma. Based in Tulsa, PSO has more than 4,000 megawatts of generating capacity and offers some of the lowest energy prices in the United States.
