AEP Texas service crews working to restore power after equipment failure at Corpus Christi southside substation
As of 4:15 p.m. Monday, AEP Texas service crews are working to restore power to approximately 9,400 customers who remain without power after equipment failure at the Holly substation on the south side of Corpus Christi caused customers to lose electricity. At its peak, the outage affected 14,000 customers.
Crews are actively making repairs to the substation equipment so switching and restoration can happen as quickly and as safely as possible.
Customers are expected to be restored by 6 p.m. today.
