Bradley Hardin Named Manager, State Government Affairs in Little Rock
Jennifer Meyer Named Manager, External Affairs in Texarkana

Bradley Hardin, manager, external affairs in Texarkana since 2006, has been named manager, state government affairs in Little Rock, Ark. for SWEPCO. Hardin succeeds Sammie Cox, who retired May 31 after 41 years of service to SWEPCO.  
            A 29-year employee, Hardin joined the company as a public relations assistant in 1981 and was a communications coordinator in the company’s General Office in Shreveport. During his career he has served as area manager in Jefferson and Mineola, Texas, and as manager of business operations in Fayetteville, Ark. before moving to Texarkana in 1994 as area business manager.
            A Longview, Texas native, Hardin earned a bachelor of business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master of business administration degree from Centenary College in Shreveport. He is married to the former Darlene Phillips and they have four children.
Active in community affairs, Hardin served four consecutive terms as a Texarkana city council member.   He also served as chairman of the United Way of Texarkana’s allocations committee and as campaign chair in 2000. Hardin has served on the boards of the Texarkana Chapter of the American Heart Association, Christus St. Michael Health Care Center Foundation, and the Chamber of Commerce.
            Meyer, an 18-year employee, began her career with SWEPCO as an environmental specialist in Shreveport, and also served as a water quality specialist and environmental services coordinator in Dallas from 1994-2000. Meyer moved to the company’s Welsh Power Plant in East Texas to work as the plant environmental coordinator for eight years. She has been serving as the manager, external affairs in Mt. Pleasant since 2008.
            Also active in the community, Meyer has served on the board of the Winnsboro Community Foundation, Franklin County Industrial Foundation, Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement and Mineola Industrial Foundation. 
A Dallas native, Meyer earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and a master of science degree in aquatic ecology from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is married to Danny Meyer of Lone Star, Texas, and they have one son. Meyer currently lives in Hughes Springs, Texas and will relocate to Texarkana this summer.
