Friday, 5-21-2021- Storm Restoration Final Update for Laredo District

May 21, 2021

As of 3 p.m., AEP Texas crews had reduced the number of outages within the City of Laredo to 31, as compared to 37,000 on Monday night.  Remaining outages totaled 56 for the combined Hebbronville/ Falfurrias/Alice/Freer area.

“Crews are closing in on restoring service to customers who still remain without power,” said Ron Wells, AEP Texas manager of Distribution Services. “We appreciate your patience as we worked to repair damage to our electric infrastructure caused by the storm and to restore your electric service as quickly and safely as possible.

“If you are still without electric power and have not called in over the past 24 hours, please call the AEP Texas Customer Call Center Outage Line at 1-866-223-8508 to report your outage,” Wells added.

This is the last update on the restoration effort for this storm.  To view information about specific outages both in and outside Laredo, visit the Outage Section at http://www.aeptexas.com.
