ROCKY MOUNT, Va., Oct. 29, 2010 – The Smith Mountain Project Visitors Center and observation area will be closed to the public for a week beginning Monday, November 1. The center is operated by Appalachian Power.
Maintenance work on the grounds and parking area will block public access to the site during that time.
The center will reopen to visitors November 8.
