UPDATE:

• AEP Texas made significant progress on Sunday restoring electricity to customers left without power after Hurricane Hanna made landfall as a Category 1 storm on Saturday. Crews have restored electricity to more than 67 percent of all affected customers.
• As of 6 a.m. Monday, 65,400 customers were without power in the Corpus Christi, Laredo and Rio Grande Valley Districts. This number is down from a peak of 200,000 early Sunday morning.
• Approximately 2,350 resources are being dedicated to the restoration effort in the impacted areas; 1,300 of those resources have traveled from neighboring utilities in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

• Severe flooding and high waters in some areas limit access to substations and other equipment. We thank customers in advance for their patience as we work to restore service to our customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
• We ask everyone to stay away from downed power lines. Report it by calling (866) 223-8508.
• All AEP Texas crews and mutual assistance personnel traveling to the impacted areas to assist in restoration are following strict COVID-19 safety guidelines, which include wearing a mask and practicing physical and social distancing. We ask that customers not approach crews for any reason as they are working on the restoration of service, especially due to enhanced COVID-19 safety guidelines.

The following are outage numbers for the area cities as of Monday, July 27, 6 a.m.:
